VAT Specialist

Key responsibilities

• Calculating and filing VAT returns in a detailed and timely manner, ensuring the highest accuracy is maintained.
• Doing periodical tax declarations (ICP, CBS).
• Lead and assist indefining and implementing tax-related policies for the group.
• Responsible for thepreparation of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) returns for multiple countries.
• Participating incross-functional teams optimizing ERP BI reports to meet tax reportingrequirements.
• Responsible for allVAT backup documentation for audit compliance and internal procedures.
• Responsible for VATcompliance-related processes (e.g., VAT ledger reconciliation, revenuereconciliation).
• Improvements andimplementation of VAT processes and performance.
• Being aware of, andfollow up on, changes in VAT legislation and its communication to the relevantstakeholders.

Profile

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in accounting, finance

Work Experience:

• ‍‍4+ years of experience in a similar position

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience with VAT filings in the Netherlands and/or other countries.
• Advanced MS Excel skills(creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good analytical insight and a hands-on mentality.
• Great collaboration and communication skills.
• Able to quickly learn and adapt; a solution-oriented, flexible mindset.
• Good command of English and Dutch, both in speech and writing.
