Financial Controller

In this role, you will contribute to both financial control and business control activities, helping to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance across trading operations. In collaboration with other departments such as Risk and Trade, you will provide meaningful financial insights on margins, helping to translate data into informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial analysis:  

• Support the analysis of costs, expenses, and profitability of the company;

• Support cost control efforts and identify opportunities for cost savings within the organization.

Financial reporting:

• Periodically support the (consolidated) reporting for stakeholders.
• Review of accurate and timely financial statements.
• Checking the financial reporting by laws and regulation

Audit:

• Support the audits of the entities in the COUNT Energy Trading Group.
• Assist with the preparation of the audit.

Compliance and controls:

• Ensure compliance with internal control mechanisms and company policies.
• Ensure correct application of accounting standards (IFS).

Tax filings:

• Assisting with corporate tax returns.

Process improvement:

• Identify areas for process optimization within financial reporting and accounting.
• Support by streamlining financial processes, including automation.

Profile

Education:

Completed a master's degree in business economics, accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Work experience:

At least 4 years of experience in a financial role, preferably as an accountant, financial controller, or a similar position in a dynamic work environment.

Knowledge and skills:

• Extensive knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, specifically IFRS.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear reports.
• Proficient in Excel and other financial software (e.g. Power BI).
• Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
